We pride ourselves on safety and customer satisfaction.

Safety First

1. Helmets

Helmets are required for guests on all bikes and skibikes. Helmets are included for each participant. Additional helmets may be rented for $10/day.

2. Life Jackets (PFDs)

PFDs are required for all paddlesports, and are included for each participant. Additional PFDs may be rented for $10/day.

3. Weather

Keep an eye on the weather conditions. If the weather changes suddenly and creates unsafe conditions with lighting, hail, heavy snow or rain, wind, etc., remove yourself from the area and seek cover in a safe place immediately. We are happy to issue a store credit for any future booking if weather continues.

4. Dress Code

The temperature in Lake Tahoe changes dramatically due to its alpine environment. It is best to pack extra layers so you can be prepared for those temperature changes. it is warmer in the day while dropping fast in the evening.

5. Slow 'N Steady

It is important to start off slow in any sport or activity while learning. Look before you leap and assess the obstacles before "diving in head first." Ask your guide or shop manager any questions you may have before using equipment, and as new questions arise throughout the tour. Take your time and feel free to walk your bike through any trail sections that make you uncomfortable.

Cancelation Policy


Lake Tahoe Tours And Rentals offers a full credit for a future booking if canceled more than 24 hours in advance. You will also be issued a store credit if any cancelations take place due to weather. "Peek Protect" is offered to protect your booking in the case of an unforeseen cancelation. It is important to be aware that there are no refunds, discounts, or reimbursements for participants who fail to show up, arrive late, are dismissed, or are deemed unsuitable to participate due to illness, medical conditions, intoxication, or insufficient fitness levels.

What Is Peek Protect?

"Peek Protect" is offered when checking out. It is recommended if there is any chance you may cancel.

If you cancel your booking on your own initiative at least 24 hours before the start of your first Booking, you will be refunded 100% of the protected amount listed in your confirmation email. Additional services or fees will not be refunded. 


Peek Protect is the only option to receive a refund for canceled bookings.
